Dear Members,
as usual a brief assessment on the year drows to a close. I think we can say that 2016 has been a positive year for our Register. We had a so pleasant Raduno on Lago di Iseo and Brescia with a lot of friends and their wonderful 6C. Very interesting the visit to the Beretta Museum and to the prestigious Riva Shipyards and, as always, very nice the time spent together in friendship and cheerfulness. Many thanks again to Emanuele Morteo for the work done and the success of the event. During the year our cars have participated to several exhibitions, shows and concourses of elegance receiving everywhere acclaims and appreciations. The Registro has officially participated in the last March to Milano AutoClassica exposing admiration of many and many of enthusiasts the beautiful Villa d’Este of Ermanno Keller. Very recently we have been invited to the Bologna Motor Show, very well known International Automotive Event where, in a large and popular stand, four wonderful cars as a 2300 GT Pinin Farina, a 2300 GT Touring, a 2500 Freccia d’Oro and another Villa d’Este made a fine exhibition of themselves. Many heartfelt and affectionate thanks for the courtesy, availability and spirit of belonging demonstrated even in this circumstance to the owners Massimo Cremascoli, Axel Marx, Fabrizio Borghi and Francesco Gandolfi. The SS Touring of Raoul SanGiorgi, very well known as Trossi car due to its first famous owner, has been the queen of the official Show for the 90th birthday of Carrozzeria Touring hold in Turin in the last autumn. I really think that 6C 2300/2500 are a prestigious reference point for international collectors. This of course thanks to the wonderful bodies that dress top level mechanical items in a perfect synthesis of technology, elegance and charme but also thanks to the appropriate enthusiasm of their owners and, at least in part, to the activities of the Registro that is constantly trying to promote the cultural value and the significance of collecting, restoring and reviving these authentic works of art.
Next year we will meet in late April in Veneto for our annual Raduno that you have been able to read the program. An year of deserved rest for our commendable Emanuele Morteo and so we will live an exciting experience projected by our friend Gianni Tesauro that will take us in Venice, unforgettable city for those who have already been there and a must for those who have not yet had this opportunity. Really many thanks on behalf of all the Members to Gianni for his commitment and planning. Many thanks also to our Treasurer Fabrizio Borghi and to our Register Keeper Alessandro Salvetti for their job and, last but not least, to Claudio Giorgetti, true soul of the Registro. I remind everyone to pay the 2017 annual fee to the Treasurer ( 70 Euro, single our income) and to contribute with photos, documents, experiences, stories and opinions to the life of the official website that is always very much visited and appreciated.
